Adventure 3 Summary

The PCs agreed to help a Drow teenager named Balaena rescue her mother, G’eldriia from a rival drow house. The PCs infiltrated the mansion disguised as drow, had some interactions with other drow while they were in there, and extracted G’eldriia. However, it was all a ruse by Balaena, who had tricked the PCs into killing G’eldriia, so that Balaena could take her mother’s place as the head of House Ildris. She parted on good terms with the PCs, expressing a willingness to work with them again.

The PCs then traveled with the caravan to Earthheart, where Egan was raised by his foster-father Dolgrin. He advised Rags to seek out Jarthus, the head cleric of Oghma, to find answers about her amnesia. Jarthus was missing, and the PCs eventually found and rescued him from a cleric of Cyric. Jarthus then revealed Rags to be the missing Princess Agna.

Adventure 5 Summary

The PCs traveled from Earthheart to Underhome, escorted by Zarzuket’s Caravan, a few guards (Gromlin, Borthal, and Tordek), and a cleric of Oghma, Reddick. After a brief attack by bandits, they stayed at the inn The Great Thrift, and met Drakmor who convinced them to assassinate Arthur in exchange for removing the bounties on their heads. Alys and Agna agreed, but Egan didn’t participate. During the remaining journey, the party was again attacked by bandits, this time accompanied by their leader, the deep dragon Zeuroth. Though the party was victorious, Borthal was slain, and Alys broke her leg jumping from the back of a fleeing Zeuroth.

Adventure 6 Summary

PCs made it to Underhome’s royal district, and were sent to the royal greeting house to stay the night. The next morning, Chancellor Reihne refused to let Princess Agna see her parents until she’d returned from the Tomb of the Elders. There, she made her way to the spirits of the first king and queen of the Great Rift, and were told to beware the earthquakes and the black hand. The king and queen then became enraged, proclaiming traitor, and attacked the PCs. They escaped because Alys used a tattoo given to her by Drakmor, which summoned the ghost of Arthur to fend-off the undead as the PCs ran. They returned to the castle, and despite Chancellor Reihne’s protests, finally encountered Queen Karrivva in person.

Adventure 7 Summary

After an awkward dinner, during which the PCs were attacked while unarmed and fought off the monster using cutlery, they sneaked into Chancellor Reihne’s mansion to assassinate him as Alys reluctantly followed the orders given to her. Inside, they encountered Balaena and a small group of Drow who were there for the same purpose. Upon Alys’ insistence that she be the one to kill Reihne, the Drow agreed to just provide cover for the PCs and watch their backs. While looking for the Chancellor, the PCs stumbled upon Samantha, a maid, snooping through Reihne’s office. They convinced her that they were there for a snap inspection, and continued on their way. They finally found Reihne asleep, and Alys used the poison given to her on him, but his not-quite-immediate death meant they had to fight his summon monster, a giant serpent. The fight erupted onto the roof, but presumably no one saw them. Afterwards, guards reported seeing a group of Drow carrying-off the Chancellor’s body. Balaena confirmed this (during a Segue), where she briefly (playfully?) accused the PCs of setting her up to take the fall for it and implied that their lack of subtlety would cause trouble for her colony.

Secret stuff: Alys was approached by Drakmor as she and Egan made their way to the lifts out of the Great Rift, and was given another assignment. She was also reminded that she’d committed murder of her own volition, without any threat of repercussion from The Black Hand. Agna, meanwhile, met with Balaena in secret and confirmed her identity as Ilmlice, Balaena’s trusted cousin. Balaena charged her with the task of going to the surface and recruiting the legendary Drow hunter, Dra’al.

Adventure 8 Summary

The group (Agna having snuck out of the castle) took the lifts to the surface to retrieve Will Dodger from the bounty hunters. At the meeting, only one bounty hunter was visible, the one who had approach Alys in the underdark and upped the bounty. After being defeated, he admitted that his companions had taken Will away while he was on that journey. He sent the players to the small town of Torsh to look for clues as to where.

In Torsh, the PCs were able to interview NPCs and discover that Will’s bounty was issued in Waterdeep, on the far side of the globe. (Unknown to the others, it is also the city of the next target that Drakmor assigned to Alys…)
